Beginning in 2025, AHA courses for our providers are offered independently. Please review the updated instructions and course information.
You need active certifications for both ACLS and BLS as a provider.
Please make sure to manage your time effectively to meet any deadlines associated with the course.
Healthstream displays the date of the deadline for you to complete your courses.
If for any reason you do not complete the full course within the month, the GME department will not receive a refund for the course. As a result, you may be required to pay the fee yourself in order to re-take the course.
#1: ACLS Recertification
#2: BLS Recertification
-
To register for ACLS recertification, search thru the Healthstream Catalog:
Find the course, ACLS-SINAI 2025, and click Enroll.
You should now be able to view the course as it appears in this screenshot.
From this screen, complete the self-assessment and pre-course work as instructed next.
-
Next to ACLS Course Information, click Start. Read ACLS detailed instructions carefully.
Next to ACLS Pre-course Self-Assessment and Pre-course Work, click View. Print it and mark it complete. (if Healthstream does not redirect you, here’s a direct link to ACLS Precourse for AHA Recertification)
Next to ACLS Class Agenda, click View. Print it and mark it complete.
Next to Sinai ACLS Class Training Session, click Choose a Class. Select the skills day in the MONTH you would like to re-certify.
NOTE: When later registering for BLS recertification, you will see why it is beneficial to register for the ACLS component first.
-
The In-Person Skills Assessment is required to be completed by the deadline listed on Healthstream.
Hands-On Drop-In Class Sessions take place in the Hecht building, in the Education Resource Center on the 2nd floor (see here for directions).
On the day of your skills session:
Check-in starts @ 7:45am. Doors close at 8:15am, so if you arrive after then, you will be rescheduled.
Bring a PRINTED COPY of the following:
Current BLS e-card
Current ACLS card
Pre-Course Preparation Certificate (compled video lessons and passed pre-course self-assessment)
In the event that you are ill, please notify Hazel Artagame, Sinai’s CTC Coordinator, to reschedule (410-601-7699 & hartagam@lifebridgehealth.org).
Missing this session or not completing the pre-course requirements will result in a “No-Show” occurrence for this.
Once you have completed your skills portion, the course will be graded at the end of the month.

To register for BLS recertification, search thru the Healthstream Catalog:
Find the course, BLS-SINAI 2025, and click Enroll.
You should now be able to view the course as it appears in this screenshot.
From this screen, complete the self-assessment and pre-course work as instructed next.
You will have the entire month to complete your BLS course. This allows you ample time to complete the Heartcode BLS online module and the multiple Drop-In options for your 30-minute Skills Session.
-
Next to BLS - Sinai Course Information, click Start. Launch the course. Read BLS detailed instructions carefully.
NOTE: for the LIABILITY STATEMENT, if NO was selected: please print the CPR Accommodation Request Form, fill out the information, and report to Occupational Health.

Next to BLS Heartcode Skills…click to choose a class. Select the skills day in the MONTH you would like to re-certify.
NOTE: If you prefer to complete Skills Sessions for both ACLS and BLS at the same time - no need to re-register here - because you already registered for an ACLS Skills Session, you will be given the time to complete your BLS portion on the same day with your ACLS class. If you prefer, however, to complete ACLS and BLS Skills Sessions on two different days, you may register separately for a different date for the BLS portion here.
NOTE: There are two types of drop-in sessions for you to complete your skills portion on any day of the month you registered. This will also take only about 30-45 minutes.
Independent BLS: DROP-IN times: Monday-Friday from 5pm till 7am & Saturday-Sunday 24/7
Instructor-Assisted BLS: DROP-IN times: as per posted schedule
-
The Heartcode BLS Online Module will be added to your Healthstream account every Monday during the month that you registered.
Once you open the module you must complete it by the end of that calendar month.
If you open the module but do not complete it within the calendar month, the GME department will not receive a refund for the course. As a result, you may be required to pay the fee yourself in order to re-take the course.
